After being a resident at the Sagora Senior Living community of Rio Terra for five years, Foster is still going strong with plans to keep up the pace by exercising five times a week. Foster was a teacher at New Braunfels Junior High for many years. She is an active member at Canyon Presbyterian Church and has been a member of the Order of Eastern Star New Braunfels for 87 years. At her birthday party, she inspired family and friends by reliving special moments in her life. When asked what she thought about turning 105, Foster replied, “I don’t know – I’ve never been 105 before.”

Foster’s vivacity and zest for life are common among residents at Rio Terra. The Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care programs in this premiere community promote active aging, which is key to seniors living happy, healthy and fulfilling lives. Seniors thrive in a community where strong social connections are encouraged, where good health and fitness are a part of the culture, and where the quality of life is improved by having physical, mental and emotional needs met. Alta Foster Day will no doubt be a celebration of life, longevity, and happiness.
