Centenarian Turns 101 on Memorial Day!

A special Memorial Day milestone is happening at The Brennity at Daphne in Alabama with one of our residents … Ms. Agnes is turning 101-years-old on May 31st!

The Brennity associates and residents, along with Agnes’s family, are helping make her 101st birthday fabulous by keeping the party in full swing all weekend long.

To start off the events, Mayor Dane Haygood and his Chief of Staff visited the community this morning to present an honorary birthday certificate to Agnes. On Memorial Day, Agnes will receive her birthday proclamation from the White House! Later that day she will have a family reception, then a press interview with FOX News.

Ms. Agnes was born in Wake County, NC in 1915. She has two daughters, three grand-daughters and 1 great grand-daughter. She was a longtime member of Holly Springs Baptist Church in North Carolina before moving to Daphne and becoming a resident here at The Brennity last year.

Agnes enjoys gardening, reading, bus rides and conversations about the patio flowers at the community.

Her favorite food is good BBQ because, “BBQ can always bring a family together!”

Ms. Agnes, we hope you especially feel like royalty on your day. From Sagora Senior Living, we wish you an amazing birthday weekend!
