As of August 20, 2020, we have an Assisted Living resident at the community who has tested positive for COVID-19.
This resident received their test result outside of the community and will not return to the community until they receive a negative test result and have completed a quarantine period of two weeks. We are following the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and taking additional precautions to ensure the health and safety of our associates and residents. Additionally, we are continuing to monitor everyone for an elevated temperature, cough and/or shortness of breath.
As of the time of this statement, we are not aware of any other residents or associates with a possible or positive case of COVID-19. We will continue to prohibit families, volunteers and non-essential providers from visiting as put into effect on Friday, March 13, 2020. As of April 8, 2020, we are also requiring all associates and essential visitors to always wear surgical masks and other Personal Protective Equipment when in the community.
We will continue to post updates as they arise via social media and internal communications with our associates, residents and their responsible parties.
