A Season of Reflection and Time for Celebration

At Sagora Senior Living our heart for community starts with our “Resident First” philosophy. Our dedication to serving our residents, meeting their needs, and exceeding their wants is made possible by our team members working together to carry out our mission. We focus on providing caring environments that foster healthiness, safety, and a high quality of life for every resident. This past week different communities all around the nation celebrated National Assisted Living Week and we were no exception! We kicked off the festivities with Grandparents Day and continued all week with big and small celebrations.

Established in 1995 by the National Center for Assisted Living, National Assisted Living Week provides a unique opportunity for residents, their loved ones, team members, volunteers, and local communities to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors. The annual observance encourages assisted living communities around the country to offer a variety of events and activities to celebrate the individuals they serve, as well as to help educate members of the public about this important aspect of long-term care.

In our communities, one big way we ensure that our residents thrive is through our exceptional lifestyle programs. Our events and programs provide a way for our seniors to connect, build friendships, and truly embrace the magic that comes through laughter and excitement! The Sagora Senior Living Games are a great example of our unique lifestyle programming. Each year our communities across the nation come together, giving a nod to the “National Senior Games – The Senior Olympics,” and embrace Olympic traditions with their own flair. Each community hosts an opening ceremony, conducts competitions their residents enjoy, and ends with a festive award ceremony. These celebrations are greatly anticipated each year and are enjoyed by all but are also something for our residents to reflect on and remember the fun they had together with the community they are a part of!

This year’s National Assisted Living Week theme was “Season of Reflection.” Which offers assisted living communities, residents, team members, and families the opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things in life, including the special relationships and bonds created within assisted living communities. This theme also offers a chance to embrace and welcome the sense of renewal that comes with the changing season.

During National Assisted Living week, we’ve been raising awareness of the importance of Assisted Living. Our Assisted Living programs, such as our Sagora Senior Games, provide the support that seniors need to go about their daily activities, letting them live a social lifestyle in a warm community where they can maximize each day! We want to take a moment to pause and reflect on all the ways our team members pour into the lives of our residents and provide exceptional care each and every day. Thank you for everything you do! This has been an exciting week – truly embracing a season of reflection and a time for celebration! Don’t forget to share your celebrations on social media using the hashtags #NALW and #Sagoraseniorliving.

We are so proud to have such amazing programming for our residents. With 62 communities in 12 different states, Sagora Senior Living offers seniors the chance to live in active, social communities where they can thrive on a daily basis.
