Celebrating our Veterans- Bristol Park Eagle Mountain Assisted Living & Memory Care

We are so thankful for the men and women who have served our country and defended our freedom!

In the leadup to Veterans Day, we asked veterans across Sagora communities to share their experiences with us, including the lessons they learned and their favorite memories from their time in the US Armed Forces. We’re so thankful for those who shared their experiences with us and we’re thrilled to share their stories:

Bob P. served in the Air Force from 1950-1971, flying fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. He participated in the rescue efforts following the USS Forrestal tragedy in 1967.

Bobby B. served with the US Air Force in the Korean War from 1952-1956 as a mechanic. Bobby says the military set the foundation for his post-service career. He fondly remembers being the first mechanic named “Airman of the Month.”

Boyd D. served in the National Guard from 1951 to 1952. While in the National Guard, he was part of a mortar team. He says he enjoyed learning to fire mortars.

Dale C. was a typist in the Army from 1962 to 1967.

JD W. served in the Navy from 1950 to 1954. While stationed on an aircraft carrier, he would board a plane and place targets for ships to shoot at during target practice. He was also stationed in Cuba.

Larry H. was a 1961 graduate of the Air Force Academy. He served from 1961-1989 as a pilot. His service took him around the world, including Germany, which he says stands out for its beautiful scenery and friendly people.

Don M. served as a surveyor in the Navy from 1955-1957. He was stationed in Cuba, which he says is his favorite memory from his time in the Armed Forces.

Do you have questions? We have answers.

At Sagora Senior Living our goal is to be accessible to our residents and their families, our future associates, and our customers. To that end, we look forward to hearing from you.
