“As of April 10, 2020, we have an associate at Landon Ridge Kingwood Assisted Living and Memory Care in Kingwood, Texas with a confirmed case of COVID-19. This associate is resting at home, doing well and has been quarantined away from the community. We are currently reporting, partnering and communicating with the local department of health and the Texas Department of State Health Services. We will continue to follow the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and are taking precautions to ensure the health and safety of our associates and residents.
This associate has not worked at the community around our residents and associates since April 3, 2020. This associate tested for COVID-19 and received a positive result on April 10, 2020. We are following all local and state departments of health requirements for quarantine in addition to the requirements of the associate’s Primary Care Provider. This associate will not return to work until they have fulfilled these requirements and has received two negative test results for COVID-19. We would also like to make you aware that this associate only worked within Memory Care, not within Assisted Living.
Our thoughts and prayers are with them and we hope for a full and speedy recovery. We are doing everything we can to assure that the virus does not spread to any of our other associates or residents.
Our residents are still staying in their apartments for care, service and meals per our previous protocols. We are requiring that all associates must always wear face masks when in the community. We will continue to prohibit families, volunteers and non-essential providers from visiting as put into effect on Friday, March 13, 2020.
